I'm still alive

I thought I'd just write a note to anyone still reading.  I'm still alive!  Adam and I are busy as ever, but still happy.  Adam is working 7-6 Monday through Thursday, and then coming home to study every night.  I've been so proud of him!  He's been studying about an hour and a half each day.  He's a trooper! (I just sounded like my mom . . . love you mom!).  I'm busy too.  I'm still trying to be a good little wife!  My day consists of work, the gym, make dinner, clean up from dinner, and then work on preparing for the next day of school.  Sounds exciting, I know.  Thank goodness for weekends and family that help us to get out and do something fun once in a while!

We're hoping to get a camera from Santa Clause this year.  I wont have an excuse not to blog anymore!  Hopefully that will help!  Love to hear from anyone reading!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Wedding Pics

I know this is long overdue.  These aren't even the actual wedding day photos, but I thought I'd start here.  We did groomals (also known as bridals with the groom) about two weeks before the big day.  We were SO SO SO glad we did, because it snowed my wedding day.  The weather was pretty fridged in these pictures, but at least it was dry!

Sorry the quality of the pictures didn't turn out so well.  I'm new to making blog slideshows.  Any pointers from you experienced bloggers?  What program do you use?

My Sixth "Half"

Tricia and I ran our sixth half marathon last week.  It's funny to think back to six summers ago when I did my first.  I really wondered if I'd be able to make it.  Now six halves and one full later, I'm still going!  I don't think I could train or do it without my side kick.  Tricia is the best!

Here is my wonderful husband and I after the race.  He was great to come cheer me on and show his support!  It's nice to have a cheering section.

I didn't want to miss the opportunity to show off my guns.  I've been working on them.  Pow!

This was Adam's reaction.  Yeah, he was intimated by my strength . . .  or maybe not.

Blog Resurrection

Resurrection-  to restore to life

My blog has miraculously come back to life.  Is anybody still out there?  I've been meaning for weeks and months to do this, but like my wedding thank you notes, the blog has been on the back burner.  Life never slows down.

Here are a few of things I've been up to since March!

I did get hitched April 3rd.  It was a snowy freezing
cold wonderful day.  Lets just say I felt so good about the decision I made to marry Mr. Adam Attridge.  The wait was worth every moment and I'm so glad a loving Heavenly Father prepared us both for what we're now doing together.

This picture was actually taken a few weeks prior.  The actual wedding day photos will come later!  Wedding advice 101-  take "wedding day" photos early.  Sounds weird, but keeps stress levels down the day of, and if you have SNOW it doesn't seem to matter as much.

Here is my hubby and I on our honeymoon in San Diego.  Of course we went to a sporting event.  He's a true Attridge!  We had a good time and saw an exciting game.

Don't we look so cute!

    This is the USS Midway.

We took a tour of this aircraft carrier.  It was HUGE and really cool.  I'm glad I'm not in the navy, but this dude looked cool so I hooked arms and had a photo taken.

Here I am back at work!  We had just finished our annual East Sandy Fun Run.  I was giving out metals.  I proudly can say I beat all of the fifth grade girls and Adam came in second to the fastest boy in the school.  (Actually, Adam helped him cross the finish line, but he was REALLY fast!!)

The pool picture was a field trip with the fifth graders.  About twenty of the students tried to drown Adam for about 10 minutes.  I really started getting nervous, but he was as stubborn as a mule and wouldn't go down.  He is great with the kids.  They loved it when he'd come visit at school this last year.  He's a lot more fun then his wife!

Well, that's a start.  I'll get more wedding photos up soon, and hopefully keep this blog alive!

THREE WEEKS!

AHHH! I'm getting hitched in three weeks.  I can't believe it!  These last few months have flown by.  Thanks for all the wedding advice.  It was very helpful.  I'm about done with all the details.  I'm just finishing up collecting addresses.  If you haven't sent me your address, PLEASE DO!!!  I'd love to have you be a part of the fun.

I'd love any advice or last minute wedding tips you might have.  It was really fun to meet with some of my "girls" this week to talk about wedding stuff.  I got lots of good tips.  SO, if you have any last minute wisdom I'm all ears!  Thanks for your support!

Dress, Invitations, I'm already tired!

Is finding a dress something that I should have put a lot of time into?  I walked into a store today, told the girl to grab a bunch of dresses and started trying them on.  I got to number four and said, I like it!  Done!!!  I kept thinking that this shouldn't be so easy, but it was.  I bought it. It was almost scary.  I wish I could post pictures, but I don't want Adam to see me in the dress before the big day.   The hard decision came when they started pulling out veils.  What do you all think about veils.  I'm not sure what to do with my hair.  It is pretty short right now.  Do I go curly or keep it normal straight.  Any advice??

OK.  So I'm well into the wedding planning and as my mom keeps reminding me, there's a lot to do . . . NOW!  Really, it's not that bad.  I've got the major stuff under way.

Temple, check!
Reception center, check!
Videographer, check!
Florist, check (My sister is the best!).
Dress, check (Got it today!).
Honeymoon, check!

Any advice or recommendation for photographers or invitations???
